The Yahava Koffee Academy offers barista training courses for all skill levels. Whether you wish to make coffee at home on your domestic espresso machine or brush up on your skills for work we can help.
We have two Koffee Academies operating in Western Australia. One situated in the Swan Valley and the other located in the South West. Below is a list of the courses on offer.

Barista Basics
An excellent course designed for new comers to the industry, those wishing to brush up on their current coffee making skills, or the serious home barista. We start with a brief introduction to the coffee industry including growing, picking, processing and roasting. From there we move on to practical coffee making skills: setting the grind, dosing the shot, steaming milk and pouring the top 5 coffees. We finish the course with a basic machine cleaning and maintenance demonstration.

Coffee at Home
Perfect for the amateur coffee enthusiast, learn the secrets of coffee making needed to get the best out of your equipment at home. We start with a brief introduction to coffee roasting, with the majority of the course focusing on practical coffee making skills. These skills include setting the grind, dosing your shot and steaming milk. We finish with a few tips on cleaning and maintenance.

Skill Booster
If you are struggling with one particular area of your coffee making such as extracting great shots, steaming silky milk, setting your grind or great presentation, then come in and spend an hour with one of our experienced baristas for the inside scoop.
