This month, we're thrilled to bring you something truly special - our October Specialty Estate, a natural-processed microlot from Gedeb Halloberiti, nestled deep in Ethiopia’s famed Yirgacheffe region. Known for producing some of the most complex and fruit-forward coffees in the world, Yirgacheffe coffees are a favourite among both baristas and home brewers - and this one is no exception.


The Gedeb Halloberiti washing station works with over 2,000 contributing smallholder farmers, all of whom meticulously handpick only the ripest cherries. These are floated to remove defects and then dried in the shade for about 18 days to achieve perfect moisture content. The result is a Grade 1, specialty-grade coffee bursting with clarity and vibrant flavour. With elevations ranging from 1850 to 2200 MASL, this high-grown gem offers the quintessential Ethiopian coffee experience.


In the cup, you’ll discover luscious notes of ripe mango, blueberry compote, and caramel, balanced with a touch of dark chocolate. All lifted by bright winey acidity and a clean, elegant finish. It’s a juicy, layered coffee that performs beautifully as a filter brew but is bold enough to shine as a single-origin espresso.
