Roasters Notes | The body of this lively summer coffee is creamy, and a touch spicy, infused with a refreshing splash of bergamot.

Guatemala Finca Linda Vista

Overlooking the ancient volcanic crater lake of Laguna de Ayarza, Finca Linda Vista sits among the fertile volcanic slopes of Santa Rosa, Guatemala. The family estate has been cultivating coffee since the early 1900s, with Pablo Chuy Flores now carrying on the tradition as the fourth generation to tend the land.

The estate is renowned not only for its coffee, but also for its commitment to protecting the surrounding environment. With 110 hectares preserved as a protected bio-reserve and strict water conservation practices in place, Linda Vista demonstrates how exceptional coffee production can go hand in hand with environmental stewardship.

The washed coffee is carefully processed at the family’s wet mill before being spread across patios to dry. The beans are diligently raked up to 17 times a day over an 8 to 12 day period, ensuring even drying and preserving the quality of each harvest. This meticulous approach, passed down through generations, is helping bring the distinctive coffees of Santa Rosa to the attention of coffee lovers around the world.

Peru PE Organic Grade 1

Peru has earned a reputation as one of the world's leading producers of high-quality organic coffee, with its history of small-scale farming playing an important role in shaping the industry today.

Across the mountainous regions of the Andes, generations of indigenous farmers have cultivated coffee on small plots beneath the forest canopy. With limited access to agricultural fertilisers, many growers developed natural farming practices that have since become a defining strength of Peruvian coffee production. Today, these traditional approaches support sought-after organic coffees known for their quality and distinctive character.

From Pichanaki, in Peru’s central highlands, this Grade 1 micro-lot is sourced through Volcafe Peru, whose teams work alongside coffee-growing families to share agronomic knowledge, improve quality and support more sustainable supply chains. The region’s organic coffees are particularly prized for their complex sweetness and fruit character, bringing depth and intrigue to the cup.
