In the heart of Santos, Brazil the coffee trade is brewing The Auction Hall was the heart of the Official Coffee Exchange. There was its main reason for being: coffee negotiations mediated by brokers. At the height of its operation, in the 1920s, the sessions marked the rhythm of the Square in Santos. Within the auction hall, only official brokers, who were appointed directly by the state after completing the necessary requirements, were allowed to act.
