Espresso Is A Blend of Colombia, Ethiopia and Papua New Guinea Coffee with Notes of Cocoa, Dark Caramel and Toffee Nut

Nothing typifies the significance of Italian art more than the sculptures of the High Renaissance. Between 1200 and 1600 the great Italian masters transformed marble with astonishing deftness into works of art that still strike awe into the hearts of admirers today. Another Italian, Luigi Bezzera, started a love affair with coffee when in 1901 he invented a steam-powered device to extract a bold beverage from coffee beans. The Espresso is still revered as the true art of coffee. We salute these great Italian masters who gave to the world these priceless gifts.

Espresso

This Italian style roast is great for espresso and stovetops. The triple blend draws on powerhouse coffees from Colombia, Ethiopia and Papua New Guinea to create a rich, full bodied, classic cup.

A classic Italian style coffee, this blend combines Colombian, Ethiopian and Papua New Guinean Arabicas. The Colombian provides a rich, syrup body while the Ethiopian and Papua New Guinean beans offer floral aromatics and beautiful berry notes. Designed expressly for the espresso, this coffee also presents a superb cup through a stovetop or plunger.

The Body & Brightness Profiles:

When you first taste a coffee, you should first assess its body or mouth feel and also just how acidic or bright it is. You may like a coffee that has a whole lot of body but with low acidity. Or you may like a mellower mouth feel but a brighter acidity. It really is a personal preference, there is no right or wrong.

The Flavour Profiles:

What sets each individual coffee apart will be the flavours or what we call the “tasting notes”. The tasting notes are many and varied ranging from floral to nutty, spicy to berry, chocolaty to citrusy, just to name a few. These flavours make each coffee very different and so special. Where the coffee is grown, climate, elevation, soil type and harvesting techniques will all impact on the flavour so unique to each coffee.

How Can I Best Enjoy Espresso Coffee?

To fully appreciate the taste of this triple blend espresso coffee, and to experience the richness of the flavour, we suggest drinking it black and without sweetener. The brew method you choose will also influence the taste so we encourage you to experiment starting with a shot of espresso and steamed milk. If you crave a sweeter cup you might like a splash of essence (coffee elixirs and essences).
