The Peppermint plant is an aromatic herb native to the Mediterranean but now grows all over the world. This plant thrives in water and is often found growing wild close to streams and in wetlands. Usually used in cooking and as a garnish, Peppermint leaves a refreshing taste and a cool feeling that can wake the senses.

Peppermint Essence

Menthol oils in Peppermint create an intense chill that can be both bracing and refreshing, that is why it is often used as an extra treat to a meal or a drink. Peppermint essence can make your taste buds tingle and leave you wanting more.

As one of the world’s most popular flavours, it can be added to a number of beverages and desserts and we suggest pairing it with drinking chocolate to create an amazingly tasty treat. You will find the silky chocolate will become invigorating, sweet and intense when you mix it with Peppermint Essence.

Peppermint Hot Chokolat

1. Put 3 heaped teaspoons of Yahava Drinking Chokolat in a glass.
2. Add a splash of boiling water.
3. Stir the mixture into a syrup.
4. Add 25mls of essence.
5. Fill the glass with hot creamy milk and stir well.

Peppermint Iced Chokolat

1. Put 3 heaped teaspoons of Chokolat in a glass.
2. Add a splash of boiling water.
3. Stir the mixture into a syrup.
4. Add 25mls of essence.
5. Add a scoop of chocolate ice cream.
5. Fill the glass with chilled milk and stir well.

How Many Cups Can Yahava’s Peppermint Essence Make?

Our Peppermint Essence is available in 375ml bottles which make approximately 25 serves based on adding 15ml Peppermint Essence to a 250ml serving size. One bottle is a perfect at-home treat and makes a wonderful gift! Shop all our Iced Coffee and Essences online.

What Else Can I Use Peppermint Essence In?

Peppermint Essence can be used not only in chocolate drinks, but you can also add a splash or two of peppermint essence in milkshakes and cocktails for that extra minty flavour.

Definitely! If you are making ice cream from scratch, adding a few splashes of our Peppermint can give your ice cream extra minty flavour and a wonderful peppermint aroma.
