A slow grown premium Peruvian coffee forms the central plank in this 2025 Winter Blend. Behind this is a complex Indian building wonderful flavours. The PNG, a trusted favourite, underpins the mix with earthy chocolate undertones, an essential in any winter brew.
Organic Peru – SHB: Peru is progressively building an enviable reputation for its high-quality organic coffees. The Asociacion de Productores Agroecologicos y Orgánicos Nuevo Pozuzo is a co-op of just 158 farmers in the Southern Mountainous regions of Peru. The cooler temperatures and higher rainfall in the Santa Cruz and Rio Tambo region enable the coffee cherries to mature more slowly, creating a denser bean with beautifully complex flavours. Only the ripest cherries are diligently hand-picked and wet processed before being delivered to the locally owned mill.
India – Plantation A (Regional Selection): India’s Plantation A coffees are grown in the Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu regions under mixed shade canopies of up to 50 different types of leguminous (nitrogen fixing) trees. These shade trees prevent soil erosion on the mountainous slopes and enrich the soils by recycling nutrients from the deep layers. These plantations support mixed crops of spices and fruits like pepper, cardamon, vanilla, orange and banana that permeate and influence the symphony of the flavours in this coffee.
Papua New Guinea Apo Angra Kange Co-operative: The Apo Angra Kange Co-operative is a collective of 1800 growers who call themselves the ‘Brotherhood’, each farmer tending an average of between 30 and 60 trees. PNG high grown coffee is a product of ancient mountain forests and one of our most sought-after coffees, for its dark cocoa and berry flavours and its silky finish.
There is little else to say, except that this is a coffee made for winter. Whichever way you choose to brew this 2025 blend, savour the flavours and let the warm buttery finish swirl through you like a warm breeze.
